The day I got my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Turin – July 11, 2019

Professional credentials

  • I obtained my diploma in Classical Studies at Liceo Classico Silvio Pellico in July 2012 (Cuneo, Italy) with a score of 100/100. The diploma thesis focused on stuttering – a psychological disorder in its own right. You can read the thesis here, even though it is in Italian.
  • I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques at University of Turin in July 2015, with a score of 110/110. In the same year, I did internship at the Epilepsy Center at Molinette Hospital in Turin. My thesis focused on Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures, a somatoform dissociative disorder.   • I began working as a professional children’s entertainer In March 2016 for the Turin-based company 0-18+. I held this position for about four years.
  • I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, graduating with 110/110, honors, a special mention for academic excellence, and publication merit in July 2019, at the University of Turin. My thesis explored theoretical psychopathology with a focus on “Sociality and Psychopathology“. It later became a published paper.
  • I started the  postgraduate internship at the Evidence-Based Psychological Assessment Group of the University of Turin (Prof. Alessandro Zennaro) in September 2019. I began publishing my first scientific articles and learning the fundamentals of psychological research in the same period.

 This is me presenting my work on Attachment Trauma at the intermediate Congress of the Italian society of the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (SITCC) in Pescara, on the 15th of December, 2024.

  • In November 2020, I passed the State Examination with full marks (50/50) and officially became a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, registered with the A-List of Psychologists of Piemonte (No. 9935).
  • From October 2020 to July 2021, I worked as a School Educator at the ITIS Feltrinelli Institute in Milan, supporting adolescents with various disorders such as high-functioning autism, ADHD, and early-stage borderline personality disorder.
  • In November 2021, I began my PhD in Psychometrics (Psychological Statistics) at the University of Trento.
  • Since 2020, I have been conducting research and publishing scientific articles on various topics, including theoretical psychology, psychopathology, and psychometrics. You can find the full list of my scientific publications here (as of March 2025, I have published 10 papers, 9 as the first author).
  • In January 2025, I started my Psychotherapy Training at the Centro Clinico Crocetta in Turin, a third-wave cognitive therapy institute.
  • On February 20, 2025, I earned my PhD in Psychometrics cum laude at the University of Trento, with a dissertation focusing on a highly clinical topic: attachment trauma.
This is the day of my PhD graduation at the University of Trento: the 20th of February, 2025.
  • As of February 2025, I am also a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation (ESTD), member of the Associazione Italiana per lo studio del Trauma e della Dissociazione (AISTED), and SITCC (Società Italiana di Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamentale).

International Experiences

Throughout my research years, I had the opportunity to work and live abroad, which helped me gain fluency in English.

In Edinburgh, Scotland, at Napier University, I collaborated with Thanos Karatzias, Mark Shevlin, and Philip Hyland, internationally renowned experts on Complex PTSD.

I also lived and worked in Vienna, Austria, where I collaborated with Brigitte Lueger Schuster and her team at the Psychotraumatology Unit of the University of Vienna.

Over the years, I have participated in more than five international conferences, presenting either a talk or a poster at each.
